Reunion Officer Descriptions

• Prepares the agenda paper for the reunion meeting and gets copies for all
• A few weeks before Reunion, gives a courtesy call to Donald Schlicher (or other volunteer) to ask to pick up freezer, ice cream, keg of birch beer and drinks
• Gathers all together before lunch and says the blessing (or delegates that responsibility to someone)
• Runs business meeting after meal

• Available in case ill fate comes to the President of the the Reunion
• Must not ride on Air Force One with the...umm, sorry. Wrong Vice President.

• Maintains address list for the Reunion
• Maintains "descendants" database
• Records business meetings
• Brings name tags for Reunion
• Brings attendance notebook for Reunion and makes sure people have signed it
• Sends out "Gable Reunion News" each year about one month before the Reunion. This newsletter announces the Reunion, prints letters from family members, has memories from previous Reunions, lists "Fun Facts" that are genalogical or historical in nature and lists the "missing people" from last year's Reunion
• Currently, this position does not rotate through the roles, but is a 6-year renewable commitment as the other positions rotate through.

• Keeps cash bag and ledger
• Collects receipts from others and reimburses them from Reunion account
• Announces finances during Reunion business meeting
• Makes sure collection baskets are ready for the business meeting. (These are kept at the farm.)

• Pick some goofy categories and gag gifts to award
• Browses through book of past games to pick some old favorites and possibly picks some new games to paly as well, especially for older elementary age or older. There are many good game books at the library or bookstore. Decide on age group breakdowm for games based on previous year's attendance. (Usually the categories are: ages 1-3, 4-5, 6-12, teens and adults.)
• Record games in book (with their directions) so future officer can have a record
• Get helper or three on reunion day.
• Buy some prizes for the players of all ages. (Around $75 in 2003 dollars.) Oriental trading company is an excellent place to look.

• Maintains family tree on software program
• Makes sure information is current
• Researches and documents deceased family members'information
• Integrates information concerning previous generations before Solomon and Elizabeth into family tree

• Maintains GableReunion.com website by paying hosting fees and keeping code in W3C parameters
• Makes sure information is current
• Responds to queries the website produces, which are mainly of a genealogical nature (must have devoted internet email address, currently at GableReunion@earthlink.net).
• Scans in loaned images and returns them to family members
